Who we are

Mudball Studio is a marketing consultancy operated by Fred James, based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. We help established local service businesses build and improve their digital presence.

What information we collect

We collect information in the following ways:

Analytics data: When you visit this site, Google Analytics 4 collects anonymised information about your visit: pages viewed, time on site, general location (city/region level), and the device and browser you are using. This data does not identify you personally.
Booking information: When you book a Strategy Call, Cal.com collects your name, email address, and the time you select. This information is used to confirm and manage the booking.
Email correspondence: If you contact us directly by email, we retain that correspondence to respond to your enquiry and to maintain a record of our communication.
Brief form responses: If you complete the pre-call brief, we collect your responses to use as preparation for our call. This information is not shared.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

Confirm and manage your booked call
Prepare for and follow up on our Strategy Call conversation
Understand how visitors use this site so we can improve it
Respond to your enquiries

We do not collect sensitive personal information. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-party services

This site uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

Google Analytics 4: Website analytics. Data is processed in accordance with Google's privacy policy. IP anonymisation is enabled.
Cal.com: Appointment scheduling. Booking data is stored and processed by Cal.com in accordance with their privacy policy.

Cookies

This site uses cookies through Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with the site. These are analytics cookies only. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Analytics cookies are not loaded until you accept them. On your first visit, a banner asks whether you accept or decline. Your choice is stored in your browser and remembered on return visits. You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

The Cal.com scheduling tool may set session cookies when you interact with the booking widget. These cookies are functional (required for the booking to work) and are only loaded when you click a booking link.

Data retention

Analytics data is retained for 14 months in Google Analytics (the default retention period). Email correspondence and brief form responses are retained for the duration of our working relationship and for a reasonable period thereafter. You can request deletion of your personal data at any time.

Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including secure hosting, limited access to stored data, and standard industry safeguards. No system is completely secure, but we work to reduce risk and exposure.

Your rights

Under applicable Canadian privacy legislation (PIPEDA) and, where relevant, GDPR, you have the right to:

Request access to the personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your personal information
Withdraw consent to data processing at any time
